Welcome to CVE!

Wow, what a crazy first few months to be in business! I have to say that when l first imagined starting Conference Venue Essentials, l certainly didn’t predict l would do so during a pandemic. But, the winding back of conferences and events early in the year presented the time and opportunity l needed to launch CVE. After a few late nights back and forth with business details, branding and website development, CVE finally launched in June 2020. I hope to use this blog as a means to share exciting industry news and updates from us, and to give our clients an insight into the services we offer.

To start, l thought it best to share a little bit more about myself. Whilst CVE is a new venture for me, l have spent most of my working life in the events and hospitality industry, including the last 10 years working as a free venue finder. To find out more about my professional experience you can check out my LinkedIn, but for the interesting facts about me you can’t find there, here are a few. I am a keen traveller, and have been overseas many times including a trip to Japan in March just before travel restrictions were put in place. I love to cook, especially my mother’s favourite Italian recipes for meatballs and lasagne. Finally, l am the proud mother of a cute, but cheeky 1-year-old beagle named Zozo, the official CVE mascot.

Now it would be amiss not to mention the most topical issue within our industry, COVID19. Whilst many of my clients have cancelled or rescheduled their events in 2020, many more are seeking to plan ahead into 2021, or opting for hybrid events that allow corporate groups to seamlessly connect online in meeting spaces across various locations. It has also been fantastic to see all hotels and venues implementing such stringent COVID safety practices, making it simple and safe for our clients who are looking to host a conference or event in the future. I can confidently say the future is looking bright for conferences, and venues are ready to help bring your next meeting or event to fruition.

Speaking of venues, l have been on some exciting site inspections over the past month, learning about fantastic offerings at the new Wildlife Retreat at Taronga and refurbished Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach. I have included some of my favourite images from both venues below. To keep up to date on these, and other venues, you can follow our Instagram or Facebook pages.
